Summer Handwriting and Social Camps


Camp Crayon:

Camp CrayonThis handwriting camp is for children ages 4-6 years.  The campers will be following the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum using the pre-kindergarten and kindergarten transition workbooks.  We will meet your child’s needs at his or her skill level as we progress through the workbook.  A screening will be provided at the beginning and at the end of camp to indicate your child’s progress.  Fun learning experiences and challenges will be provided through handwriting instruction and games.  For more information, please click on the flyer to the left.


Keep Calm & Write On:

Keep Calm & Write On CampThis handwriting camp is for children ages 7+ years and will follow the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum.  We will meet your child’s needs at his or her skill level with the appropriate workbook.  A screening will be provided at the beginning and end of camp to indicate your child’s progress.  For more information, please click on the flyer to the left.


Pirate Social Skills Camp:

Pirate Social Skills CampPirate Camp works to develop social skills through completion of fine motor and gross motor activities.  This camp was created by the VTXW therapists to provide a “whole child” approach to social development.  Campers will use teamwork and social vocabulary to learn and explore with a pirate theme!  Campers will practice greetings, taking turns, following directions, and using whole body listening. Communication Under Construction:

Communication Under ConstructionThis course is specifically designed for parents of young children.  It consists of three sessions that will teach parents how to engage in functional activities to promote language and sound development in their child’s everyday environment.  The first session will be a parent information session.  The remaining two sessions will give parents the opportunity to practice language activities with their child and the support of the speech language pathologist.  All sessions will be held at the VTXW office.  For more information, please click on the flyer to the left.
