Who are we?
Village Therapy Works (formerly Village Speech & Language and Judy Davison Speech & Language Services) is a pediatric clinic and has been assisting preschool and school age children in Houston, TX since 1988. Our licensed Speech Language Pathologists and Occupational Therapists take pride in working with children who experience speech, language, memory, motor, and sensory processing deficits. This includes children who are diagnosed with:
- Apraxia and Articulation disorders
- Auditory and/or Visual Perceptual Processing disorders
- Autism Spectrum or Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Aspergers
- Dyslexia and Learning Disorders
What do we provide?
Speech Therapy is individualized to help each child develop age appropriate communication. Speech therapy can also help those children who experience reading, writing, comprehension, and organizational difficulties in school. We work towards a child's strengths and help them develop strategies in order to compensate for their learning differences. Group sessions are also available to assist children with social skill development. We also provide:
- Evaluations: Full and partial
- Screenings: Hearing, Vision, and Speech
- Consultations: Parent and teacher
Occupational Therapy provides a more comprehensive approach to helping children with motor and sensory deficits. Treatment sessions aid in fostering a child's independence in daily activities, especially those skills required for school, home and social environments.
Where are we located?
Village Therapy Works main office is conveniently located in the Spring Branch and Memorial area of Houston at 1240 Blalock, Suite 170. Our office is easily accessible on the first floor of a beautiful 2 story office building.
